Econgirl’s First TED Talk…

…also known as econgirl’s “adventure in learning that Canada is more than just Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver.” You may recall this from an earlier post:

Anyway, the talk is finally available on the TEDxTalks YouTube channel, and you can see it here:

I think the video came out decently well, especially considering the challenges of the lighting in the venue and such. There are several somewhat awkward edits in the talk (mainly towards the end) in order to fit the talk into the strict 20-minute limit, but I don’t think they inhibit the ability to follow the talk. One of the things that you do miss out on, however, is the graphic that I put up at the end in order to poke fun at people who flatly reject the concept of causality:


Eh, maybe that was one of those “you had to be there” moments. 🙂
