If you come to the site via Twitter or my Facebook page, you’ve probably already seen an announcement about t-shirts. If you are randomly here through or reading via an RSS feed, here is the relevant info. You can always see this same information at the “T-Shirts” link on the left sidebar.

At long last, Economists Do It With Models t-shirts are here! Well, sort of…for the next couple of weeks I am taking preorders, since I don’t have any good guess as to the size distribution of my readers. In return for being an early adopter of EDIWM apparel, the preorder setup offers the following benefits:

  • 10% discount – shirts are currently priced at $18 rather than their eventual price of $20. (This is in line with other prices I have found online, especially for shirts with multi-color printing and printing on both sides.)
  • Greater range of sizes – with the preorder I am able to offer sizes from men’s S-3XL and women’s S-2XL, whereas I might not end up stocking the entire range of sizes at a later point.
  • Possibility of special order colors – I can’t guarantee this, but if you are interested in a color other than black or grey, put your request in the “Special Instructions to Seller” box on the PayPal form and I will see what I can do. (Please note that the grey shirt design will look good on light colored shirts and the black shirt design works well on dark colored shirts.) If you are ONLY interested in a shirt if you can get it in a custom color, send me an email (econgirl at economistsdoitwithmodels dot com) and we can try to work something out.
  • I’ll throw in an EDIWM bumper sticker for you to put on your car or your laptop or your forehead or whatever.

All shirts are 100% cotton, and the men’s shirts are a 5.4oz Anvil tee while the women’s shirts are a 4.5oz LAT tee (similar to a basic women’s American Apparel tee, so they are fitted with a bit of stretch, and they are long enough to not have to be pulling them down all the time). Sizes run pretty standard for the men’s shirts, and the women’s shirts run one size small- for example, the LAT medium is almost exactly the same dimensions as an American Apparel small. You can see a size chart here. In general, I recommend measuring a shirt that fits you well and then choosing the size that most closely matches the dimensions of that shirt.

Right now, the PayPal shopping cart is only configured for orders shipping within the United States. If you live internationally and would like a shirt, email econgirl at economistsdoitwithmodels dot com and I will calculate the appropriate shipping rate and send you your very own PayPal invoice.

Okay, I’ve officially made t-shirt ordering more complicated than it needs to be. Without further ado, here are the design choices: (mock-ups are based on a size large for all designs)

Design 1: Black shirt with front pocket logo and text on back

Note: Graphic on pocket area of shirt is 3.75″ wide on all size shirts.

maybe you could make a tshirt that says in the front: “I confessed…the other didn’t”, and you put a graph of the prisioners dilemma.
    good luck!
