I have a particular fondness for behavioral economics, since it’s what I study. Also, once you’ve spent enough time with economics, it’s more interesting to look at the ways in which people are batsh*t crazy (the technical term for cognitive biases, I swear) than at the situations where they behave according to standard economic theory.

As such, I spent the last hour watching this video chat between Glenn Loury and Sendhil Mullainathan, and I figured I would share it with you. (Hat Tip to Marginal Revolution)

Aw, they’re cute. (I’ve never met Glenn in person, but Sendhil is super awesome.) I love the discussion at the beginning about how typical economists are a boring lot.

You can also watch on the Bloggingheads site and even leave a comment and such.
