Last night I was showing my friend the 10 Principles of Economics parody, and a clip from Da Ali G Show popped up in the list of related videos. In the clip, Ali G interviews Charles Schultze (not to be confused with the guy who wrote the Peanuts comic strip), who was the chief economic adviser to president Carter.
The bit is fairly entertaining, but I can’t help but think that it’s a perfect opportunity to have some actual educational content thrown in when people aren’t paying attention. Nonetheless, Schultze is a good sport, and would probably be very good at making economics reasonably interesting and relatable.
“Don’t be high when you’re buying and selling stock.” I think that’s the best advice I will get all day.
