I am a sucker for visual gags…like when Stephen Colbert did the upside down segment the other day with the trick tie that defied gravity (or obeyed gravity, depending on how you look at it):

| George Will’s Long Tie | ||||

Hm. It appears that Stephen lent Barack Obama his tie…

Perhaps this is the beginning of a trend.
(From The Palm Beach Post.)
Update: An astute reader points out below that Dilbert’s tie seems to be subject to the same phenomenon. I had thought about this as I was watching/writing, so I’m not sure why I didn’t add him in at first (I think maybe the stripes threw me off):

I think perhaps I was terrified to entertain the possibility that there were similarities between Obama and Dilbert. (Especially because of what that implies about Obama’s coworkers…but who would be the pointy-haired boss in that case?)

Dilbert’s tie has been doing this for two decades now.

Silly…everyone knows that Obama can’t borrow a cartoon tie. But I did add Dilbert in above, since I didn’t want him to feel left out.
