Okay, this is an oldie but goodie, pointed out to me by a reader. (I love when you guys do that!) I promised you music on the “About The Site” page, and now you have it.
For context, this video is a Columbia Business School Spring 2006 Follies spoof on The Police’s “Every Breath You Take” featuring (imitation) Dean Glenn Hubbard (as opposed to the baseball player Glenn Hubbard) and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke. Apparently Dean Hubbard was supposedly on a short list of people to fill the shoes of Alan Greenspan as Chairman of the Federal Reserve, even though he was never officially nominated. (I am strangely fascinated by the bass player, not sure why.)
If that wasn’t enough nerdiness for you, here is another one about Dean Hubbard, this time a Vanilla Ice parody. Or perhaps you would enjoy Damn It Feels Good To Be A Banka, for it’s current inappropriateness if nothing else. Oh, how times have changed. I will, however, give them credit for the line “But this banka here is a smart one, Stay out of mortgage-backed and I’ll last”, since the video was made in the Fall of 2007.
